Official: Tibet to reopen to foreign tourists April 5

"Tibet will resume receiving foreign tourists as of April 5, and we warmly welcome them," Bachug, head of the tourism administration of Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China, told Xinhua.
"Reception plan was abeyant in March for the account of travelers' safety," said Bachug.
"Tibet is adapted and safe now. Travel agencies, day-tripper resorts and hotels are able-bodied able for tourists," he said.
So far, added than 100 adopted day-tripper groups accept been registered to appointment Tibet, according to him.
