Lhasa finishes replacing prayer streamers

Monks of the Jokhang Temple celebrate the accomplishment of replacing prayer streamers in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on Feb 17, 2009. Lots of Buddhist believers write down their new year wishes on prayer streamers and tie them up to the five Buddhist scripture poles of the temple during a traditional ceremony to celebrate the upcoming Tibetan New Year, which falls on Feb. 25 this year.
