 Brief Introduction

After enjoying the spiritual heart of Tibet, with the highlights of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor pilgrimage circuit etc, let’s have a fantastic day trip away to Ganden Monastery, where you would enjoy superb views of the Kyi-chu Valley, and large numbers of pilgrims and monks offering prayers, rubbing holy rocks and prostrating themselves along the path.

Day 1   Arriving Lhasa

Upon arrival at airport, be greeted and offered a white scarf (called Kada) in a Tibet traditional way which brings you good luck. Then drive to the city proper (3650 m). Stay at the hotel for adapting to the high attitude upon your arrival. It is helpful to take things easy for the first few days, and try to drink more water than before.

Day 2   Lhasa Sightseeing

In the morning visit Potala Palace, then walk on the Jokang Temple. And Barkhor street surrounding Jokhang, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties.

Day 3   Lhasa-Ganden-Lhasa

In the morning, drive to Gandan Monastery. Have a hiking around Gandan and it is called “Gandan Kora”, it is a simply stunning walk and should not be missed.
