Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, covers an area of 544 square kilometers and is "The Land of Gods" in Tibetan, sits on the north bank of River Lhasa, a tributary of the Yarlung Tsangbo River, at an altitude of 3,700 meters. It has a history of over 13 centuries. With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine annually, Lhasa is famed as "the City of Sunshine". It is the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region and the center of Tibet's political, economic, cultural and religious activities. There are many historic sites and famous relics in the city proper and its suburbs, among which the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Ganden Monastery are world famous

Day 1   Fly or taike train to Lhasa from any of China city

Accommodation: Lhasa local 3 star hotel

Lhasa airport or Train station pick-up by our local English-speaking tour guide and private van, then, transfer you to the hotel (3 star hotel). The rest of the day is free on your own.


Day 2   Full day Lhasa visiting to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street


Accommodation: Lhasa local 3 star hotel

Hotel pick-up in the morning,then spend the whole morning to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the mythical halls, exhibition chambers, figures of the Buddha.
In the afternoon, touring to the holy temple in Tibet – the 
Johkang Temple, which was built during songtsen gonpo's period by princess of wencheng in Great Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).
The circular pilgrim way around Jokhang temple is named 
Barkho rand later flourished, forming the embryo of the city. The barkhor market is one of the most famous sites throughout Tibet, and it is the ideal place to buy traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and traditional Tibetan clothes, etc.    

Day 3   Full day Lhasa tour to Drepung Monastery, Tibet Museum, Sera Monastery

Drepung monastery is located at the foot of a holy mountain and was established by Jamyang Choeje (a follower to Songtsen Gonpo) in 1416. It was used to the home of 10,000 monks and it was the center government before fifth Dalai Lama and then, the government was moved to the famous Potala palace. Later on, you can also visit the Nechung monastery which located 1km southeast of Drepung and is the abode of the protector deity pehar and the seat of the state Oracle of Tibet. 
In the afternoon, we will visit 
Tibet Museum , as Tibet's first museum in the modem sense, the museum of Tibet, situated at the southeastern comer of the Buddhist religious garden Norbulingka in Lhasa, was inaugurated in October 1999 on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of the Democratic Reforms in Tibet as the product of one of 62 Chinese government funded projects launched in July 1994 in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Autonomous Region of Tibet. Coveting 53,959 square meters.

At around 3:00pm, we will go on visiting to the Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Choeje .

Day 4   Tour from Lhasa to Namtso Lake and overnight

Accommodation: Budget guesthouse

Hotel pick-up and check-out by our guide and driver at 8:00 am, then leaving Lhasa to Namtso Holy Lake. While on the way, beautiful Nyenchen Thanglha Snow Mountain will accompany us. Today, we will have chances to escort at the grassland, visit the nomad family and walk into the tent to drink the fresh yak milk, talk with the Tibetan Children, etc.
Namtso Lake is the Heavenly Lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and the highest salt lake, as well. You can do a relax trekking around the lakeside and Tashi Island. 
The scenery on the lakeshore is splendid, the clear sky is so clean that you will see all the stars twinkling and shinning, so close to you as if you could stretch your hands to pick them down. Namtso Lake is actually the lake in the sky, it is about 5,000 meters high and lies on the highest plateau in the world.

Day 5   Drive back to Lhasa via Yampachen hot spring

Free morning on your own, you can trek along the lake to Tashi Island to explore meditation caves .Later on, drive to Dmxung for lunch.

In the afternoon, you have opportunity touring at Yangpachen hot spring (Optional) while on the way back to Lhasa.

Yangpachen is famous for its richness of terrestrial heat. Not only Yangpachen owns common hot springs and fountains, but also various geysers, boiling springs, and hot-water lakes, which is rare in the world. Now it has a thermoelectricity plant, green houses, and hot spring baths, attracting more and more tourists. Drive back to Lhasa after visiting. Overnight in Lhasa


Day 6   Return Home

Free time in the morning for you to wander around Lhasa. Take a last, memorable look at the Potala Palace before being transported to the airport at 12:00 p.m.


1.Airport or train station transfer: The free airport pick-up is at 3:20 p.m. and see off is at 12:00 p.m. These are the most common times in and out of Lhasa, but if you would like to schedule a different time enter/leave Tibet we will be happy to arrange for you. Please ask your travel consultant for the price.
