Hi Michael,

We had a fantastic trip and we would like to thank you for your excellent and efficient organization.

Everything went very smoothly, the agent in Kathmandu was very helpful, his name is Krishna and we were very happy with his work.

Lhasa our guide Dangye was wonderful, so interesting, punctual, reliable and helpful and very attentive to our every need. He is an excellent guide. Also our driver was excellent, we felt very happy and safe in their good hands!

The hotel was lovely and when one of us had altitude sickness, the doctor they sent was terrific.

With the altitude sickness it is a good idea to advise people to just do the easy sites on the first part of the tour, such as the Norbulingka and the Jokhang temple. Best to leave the Potala Palace until acclimatisation has happened as there are lots of steps!

We loved our trip to Tibet and we would like to return in the future to see more of this magnificent country.

It was all wonderful and we can't thank you and your company enough for looking after everything so well.

Dear Katherine,

We have arrived in Kashgar and I wanted to write and let you know that we had a wonderful time on the tour. Our guide, Pasang, was very knowledgeable and made sure that we were taken care of throughout the trip. He made sure that we were able to order vegetarian food at every stop (which we were very happy about). The driver was also amazing. He was a very safe driver and knew the roads very well. The vehicle was very comfortable. We were also impressed with the staff in your Lhasa office. They were very nice and answered our questions. We did not have any problems during the trip at all. We very much enjoyed walking around Mt. Kailash but our guide was able to get two horses, which we were glad that we had. The only inconvenience was that some of the hotels were fully booked so we had to try two or three hotels at times before we could find a place to stay. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend you and your services to anyone that I know planning a trip to Tibet.

Dolkar (Guide)
Dolkar is a wonderful guide. She is very knowledgable about all the places we visited. She took care of small issues and changes immediately. She was friendly and personable. By the end of the week, we felt we had made a new friend.

Dupt Den (Driver)
Excellent driver. He drives very safely, and we felt comfortable on some trecherous roads. Also very friendly, we enjpoyed spending our week with him. Kept the car clean inside and out and was always waiting for us when we were ready.

The whole trip was excellent. I really had a wonderful time and it was an unforgettable experience. Too be honest I never expected the hotels to be so comfortable. So accommodation was good. My guide Yulla was wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a very nice guide to have. I was in really good hands.

My driver was excellent, driving me around for hours without a problem, very safe driver and a funny guy.
So for both of them only the best marks. Wonderful people!

Dear Ms. Dolma,

Nice to hear from you. I have reached Xiamen in good order, although a little delay at the Shenzhen Airport. Today it is hard to get back to work after so many impressions.

I have enjoyed my trip to Tibet very much. There were very limited effects on me due to the altitude, none in Lhasa and only a few in Namtso due to 'intensive' hiking. The itinerary was fine. Most of the indications on travelling time where outdated due to road improvement and little traffic in the low season. The visiting times to the sites was quiet enough due to the limited visitors in low season. You truly feel like walking around centuries ago. Although I completely understand, it was a petty that there were no possibilities to capture that feeling on camera inside the Jokhang en Potala, I tried to fiend books that showed the inside but failed in doing so. The visit to Namtso was very nice, Tibetan nature is beautiful. To give you a clear evaluation:

Guide/driver: Where kind and friendly, well informed on Tibetan history and very qualified.
Sites/itinerary: I whish that I could have visited more, but understand that you wanted to ensure my physical condition during my stay.
Hotel: Great location, reasonable food (only had breakfast), a little hard bed but I am used to that because of my present stay in China, great service.
City: Beautiful only downside is the number and intensity of people trying to sell stuff, they don't listen when you say no.

About the tour guide Pasang:

I hope TTG really appreciates Pasang for the job he does, for he is the best guide I have ever had. He is very professional, knows the areas and the people we visit to his fingertips and makes good traveling decisions all the time (like for instance the decision of staying at the monasteries instead of camping during the Kailash kora). He is very flexible and does more than his contract tells him to, to make the traveling best for his tourists, a very hard-working and honest person. He is also very knowledgeable, a good teacher- but also humble, willing to discuss and to learn. (Not that, knew much he didn't…)

And on top of this Pasang has some human qualities that also makes him an excellent guide and traveling companion. He has social intelligence, is sympathetic, talk active, interested in learning about 'us foreigners' – and has some communication skills that makes the traveling great not only for me, but also for the driver, the cook and the other people we meet, so, please take care of Pasang, he is a gen.

Dear Mr Mark Lee:

On behalf of my wife, Mdm Lim Heng Fong and our friend Ms Jeyamalar Ayadurai from Singapore, I would like to thank Access Tibet Tour for our tour to Tibet from 31 March to 9 April 2006.

This trip to Tibet is one which we have wanted to do for a long time. At our age, it is not too much to say, it is likely to be the only trip to Tibet for us. It is therefore important that the trip went well for us.

We are extremely please to say that the trip went very well under the guidance and care of your staff, Mr Penpa.

The memory of Tibet and especially the view of the Everest remains really clear in all our minds ? it is as if we are still in Tibet and enjoying Mr Penpa?s many explanations about Tibet?s history and geography. We believe that the very enjoyable and memorable experience in the 9-day tour was possible because of Mr Penpa?s excellent coverage of the many sights we visited. His knowledge was comprehensive and he answered our many questions with depth and details.

As Singaporeans coming from a country that is at the sea level, adapting the to Tibet?s high altitude was a major worry for us. We appreciated Penpa?s considerateness in giving us time to adapt to the altitude gradually. Within his ability, he ensured that we got hotel rooms that are either at ground level or level 2. And when we needed to climb heights, Penpa gave us adequate time to make our way up.

I had the usual bad stomach for a couple of days after arriving in Lhasa. Penpa was helpful in giving us a large degree of flexibility in the food we ordered at our meals so that I could get over the difficulty with food.

In executing the itinerary, Penpa also proposed an important change to between Lhasa and Shigatse. We accepted his suggestion to defer visiting Gyantse and Lake Pelkor to the return leg so that the journey out could be less hectic for us. Also when we were told by the police that we could not visit Sakya Monastry because the road was closed, Penpa made a second attempt to get us through.

I must also pay very strong compliments to your sales coordinator, Ms Celine Gong who handled all the pre-tour correspondence and arrangements. She was outstanding in many ways - her prompt and thorough replies in our correspondence, attention to detail, excellent English and very professional approach overall. In fact, our decision to take your company's tour hinged on Ms Gong's performance as she projected a very strong image of your company.

All in all, we are pleased to have taken our Tibet tour with Access Tibet Tour. We enjoyed the people, the country and the sights tremendously, and we are happy to recommend our friends to your company.
