Tours in Tibet
TIBET - Lhasa is one of the world's most extraordinary destination and there is adventure indeed lurking around almost each and every corner. Lhasa The capital lies high in the arid wilderness of the Tibetan mountains, it's name the "Roof of the World" is no idle statement. The valley bottoms of Tibet are higher than the highest mountains elsewhere . It's snow covered plateaux are the highest in the world , and apart from the Everest , which Tibetans see from 'the other side', many mountains are over 15000 feet. For centuries , Tibet has fascinated mankind. This land beyond the mighty Himalayas on the highest plateau of the world, was hardly accessible to the outside world.
We provide all kinds of Tibet tour programs as below. Other than these pre-designed tour packages, we also provide tailormade service if you have any special requirement. Our professional travel consultants will design your trip according to your needs.
Kailash Manasoravar Tour
Lake Manasa Sarovar Hindi Tibetan, Mapham Yutso) is a fresh-water lake in Tibet 2,000 km from Lhasa. It is the highest freshwater lake in the world. To the west of Lake Manasarovar is Lake Rakshastal and towards the north is Mount Kailash, known in Tibetan as Khang Rinpoche.
The sight of a huge lake with a reflection of snow-capped mountains in its lucid waters is jaw dropping. Be prepared for a feast for the eyes. Manasarovar Lake lies at 4,556 m above mean sea level. It is relatively round in shape and its circumference is 88 km, depth is 90 m and it occupies a total area of 320 square kilometres. The lake freezes in winter and melts only in spring. The Sutlej River, the Brahmaputra River, the IndusRiver, and the Karnali River all trace their sources to its close vicinity.
The sacred mountain holds great spiritual value, and spending time there and taking the time to follow the traditional route in reverence is a very meaningful endeavor. The trip has become a very popular commercial affair since so many people from the Buddhist world and even many Hindus seek out the experience.
